Homerweb Search
Homerweb is another way to search the web using a special ranking algorithm to retrieve relevant results. The Homerweb team is constantly refining their algorithm to produce more accurate searches. To retreive pages, our programmers designed and developed an in-house spider, which is conveniently called \"Homerbot\" to download web pages. The pages are then indexed, ranked, and stored in our database. Homerweb uses a natural language algorithm to rank our pages.\r\n\r\nHomerweb offers free, reciprocal and paid inclussion submissions. Free submissions may take as much as 6 months to be included in the search database of websites. Reciprocal link and paid listings are indexed immediately. \r\n\r\nHomerweb began as a home-brewed search engine that first came online in early 2003. They are growing their online presence in hopes of becoming one of the major contenders in the search engine world. Homerweb is still a new search engine in development and still very small.\r\n\r\nThe name \"Homerweb\" is derived from the Greek poet\'s name, Homer. We thought it would be neato to pay him homage because he is such a great storyteller.
