Colocation is a service where a company will connect your (company or individual) web server to the internet using thier fast connectivity data lines. Since the server is yours, you can build it to your specs. Some companies will offer to build one for you. Colocation servers are for those requiring complete control over their own web server environment and configuration.
There are two fees associated with colocated servers (other than the server itself), unit space rental fees and connection charges.
